Cayman Islands Attractions

People that have been there will immediately tell you that there are many things that can be done and so many places that you will want to visit. The truth is that one week is not enough to experience all that this location has to offer and there is a guarantee that you will eventually come back. Most people even come back as often as possible due to what they see and how they feel here. Let us now think about the most common Cayman Islands Attractions. Please keep in mind that these are just some of those that you will be able to visit and that there are many others. We are just going to talk about the most popular.

Stingray City

This is the first location that comes to mind for most people because of the incredible thrill that you can get here. Stingray City, just as the name implies, is a place where you are going to find many stingrays. They first appeared in the area many years ago because of the fact that fishermen cleaned fish in shallow sand bars. The animals are usually shy but when faced with that free feast, they quickly started appearing. In no time they quickly understood that when boats appeared in the area there would be food. The bottom line is that when you come here you are faced with one incredible experience that you will always remember and it cannot be found anywhere else. Just think about looking through clear waters and seeing many stingrays that simply glide by in a natural habitat. You can actually feed and touch the stingray while feasting on the incredible tropical fish and coral reefs in the area. The water is only three feet high and you will always be able to admire around 20 stingrays.

Pedro St. James Historic Site

One of the Cayman Islands Attractions that many people want to see is the Pedro St. James Historic site. This is basically a national site that was restored and can be found in Grand Cayman. All visitors can stroo through a tremendously unique location that includes interesting artifacts that have been lost for ages and houses that include rare antique furniture. Make sure that you are also going to visit the gift shop if in the area and do not neglect the different multimedia shows that are featured every single hour.

Visit Blowholes

For those that are not aware, a blowhole can be defined as a cavity that will be formed in the ground when looking at inland ends of sea caves. They appear because of the fact that water moves through different natural tunnels and cut the coastal rock. When a tunnel is closer to a coast region, it will turn upwards and the result is a natural fountain. As you can clearly imagine, the show that we can see thanks to this is quite unique but it only appears when we are faced with good weather conditions. Most people will visit the blowholes in Frank Sound Road but there are many others present all throughout Cayman Islands.

Hell

This is quite an interesting place and not just because of the name. You can visit Hell Grand Canyon, which is a very interesting place. Here you can take pictures with the devil and even send postcards that are sent from hell. There are many spectacular rock formations that have naturally appeared here. The official Hell postal office appeared in 1962 and there are millions of people that will use it in order to send a post card. In addition, the formations on the iron shore are more than 1.5 million years old, which is quite impressive.

Rum Point

Rum Point is a really popular tourist attraction. It is a place of peace and relaxation and the beautiful surroundings are going to make you want to stay here forever. All the cities are close enough to get fast to them but to not disturb the serenity of the area. Everything that you need is here in the event that you want to have a relaxing vacation from volleyball to beach grills.

On the whole we can say that Cayman Islands is filled with numerous tourist destinations. We just mentioned some of the really popular ones but if you do a little research you are going to notice dozens of other sites that you will want to visit.
